Applications
Tantalum powder can be used to manufacture evaporation vessels. It can also be used as an electrode, rectifier, or electrolytic capacitor for an electron tube. Medically used to make thin slices or thin lines, and to repair the damaged tissue. Although antimony is highly resistant to corrosion, its corrosion resistance is due to the formation of a stable tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) protective film on the surface.
